Dr. Nazik Elfadil

Dr. Nazik Elfadil is an Otologist and ENT Surgeon with 20 years of experience in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. She is an Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and is licensed to practise in Dubai and Sudan. Dr. Elfadil graduated in medicine from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, in 1997 and began her career as a House Officer at Khartoum Teaching Hospital before progressing into ENT residency and specialist roles. She subsequently worked as a specialist at Hamad Medical Corporation and was a founding specialist at Soba University Hospital.After relocating to the UAE, Dr. Elfadil practiced at Tarabichi Mondy Cochlear Implant Center as an Otologist and Endoscopic Ear and Skull Base Surgeon, as well as Deputy Director of Education at the Tarabichi Stammberger Ear & Sinus Institute.

Currently Dr. Elfadil is practicing at Fakeeh University Hospital. Her surgical expertise includes a wide range of ear procedures, endoscopic nasal surgery and skull base surgery. She has undertaken specialist training courses in otolaryngology across Dubai, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Spain.

Dr. Elfadil has held significant academic and educational positions throughout her career. At the University of Khartoum, she progressed from Teaching Assistant to Associate Professor, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She has also served on the Exam Committee of the Sudan Medical Specialization Board and as Head of the Thesis Committee for its ORL Council. She is experienced in conducting independent research, publishing research papers and book chapters, and supervising postgraduate thesis research. She has served on director boards and instructed and directed otolaryngology courses in Sudan, Egypt and the UAE.

Her contributions to specialist ENT services include establishing a Cochlear Implant Clinic at Khartoum ENT Hospital and establishing a Cochlear Implant Clinic at Al Doha Specialized ENT Hospital in 2009. In 2021, she founded the Pan African Endoscopic Ear Surgery Federation. She has also contributed to the development of specialist education and training through the organisation of courses and programmes in otolaryngology.

Dr. Elfadil is an active contributor to the international ENT community, having presented posters on laser in nasal surgery and chronic sinusitis, alongside oral presentations at conferences including the International SORL Conference, the Fourth World Congress on Endoscopic Ear Surgery, and EROC & the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. At the Annual Middle East Update in ORL Head and Neck Surgery Conference, she received the award for Best Free Paper Presentation.

She is a member of several professional organisations, including the Sudan Association of Surgeons and the European Rhinologic Society, and has served as President of the Sudan ORL Head and Neck Society and as a member of the Pan Arab Rhinology Society. Beyond her clinical and academic work, Dr. Elfadil has undertaken voluntary work in Sudan, contributing to medical campaigns and supervising and facilitating the Temporal Bone Lab at ENT Khartoum Hospital.
