Dr. Mona Atef

Dr. Mona Atef is a Consultant in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine with over 20 years of clinical experience across Egypt and the UAE. She holds a Doctorate (MD) in Dermatology, Andrology, and Venereology from Ain Shams University, where she also served as a Lecturer and Academic Supervisor, contributing to postgraduate education and dermatological research.

Currently serving as the Medical Director and Consultant Dermatologist at Emirates Medical Center in Al Ain, Dr. Atef combines her leadership expertise with her deep clinical experience to deliver excellence in both medical and aesthetic dermatology. She previously led the dermatology department at The Elixir Clinic, where she oversaw advanced cosmetic and laser-based procedures.

Dr. Atef’s areas of expertise include therapeutic laser treatments, Botox, dermal fillers, mesotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), stem cell therapy, threads, microneedling (Dermapen), and advanced acne scar and hair restoration treatments. Her approach focuses on evidence-based, minimally invasive techniques that enhance skin health, texture, and aesthetic balance.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Atef is an active researcher, lecturer, and conference speaker, having contributed to international publications and dermatology workshops. She has authored and co-authored several scientific works, including research on carboxytherapy, psoriasis pathogenesis, and alopecia areata, and co-authored a chapter in the Atlas of Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Venereology (2021).
