In 2014, Dr Alam completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes at the University of Leicester, UK, followed by his Postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology at the University of South Wales, UK, in 2015. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh (UK) in 2019.
Before joining Mediclinic, Dr Alam served as a registrar at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, and held the position of Senior Registrar at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, India. In the Gulf region, he has contributed as an internist, serving as the Head of the Department for more than two decades.
