Dr Mohamad El Rawas

Dr Mohamed El Rawas is a board-certified Consultant Endocrinologist with over 16 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders. He is currently based at the American Hospital Dubai.

Dr El Rawas graduated in Medicine from Saint Joseph University (USJ), Beirut, where he also completed his specialist training in Endocrinology. He went on to pursue advanced postgraduate qualifications in France, including the Attestation of Specialised Formation (AFS) in Endocrinology and Metabolism from Paris Descartes University, an Interuniversity Diploma (DIU) in Thyroid Ultrasound from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, and a University Diploma (DU) in Geriatric Medicine from Sorbonne University.

His clinical expertise spans the management of diabetes (type 1, type 2 and gestational), obesity and bariatric surgery assessment, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal diseases, and male hormonal dysfunction. He has a particular interest in thyroid ultrasound and complex endocrine conditions.

Dr El Rawas has worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He is a member of the Lebanese Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipids, the Endocrine Society (USA), and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE).
