Dr. Khaled Aneiba

Dr Khaled Aneiba is a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon and a medicolegal expert with more than 20 years of experience. His special interests include common orthopaedic disorders, spinal infections and tumours, spinal deformity, and degenerative spinal disorders. He performs procedures such as microdiscectomy for disc prolapse, spinal decompression for spinal stenosis, Cervical discectomy with fusion/disc replacement, Lumbar fusion (including posterior and intervertebral PLIF or TLIF), Cement augmentation (kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty) for osteoporotic fractures or spinal tumours, stabilization for trauma or tumours, and a wide range of non-operative treatments including spine injections. Dr Aneiba has performed over 1500 spine operations of which 60% were complex. He has over 15 publications in international journals and has presented his work at both national and international meetings.

Following his medical qualification, Dr Aneiba completed basic surgical training in Manchester. He then went on to complete registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics in the Southeast of England and obtained his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. Following this, he undertook a spinal fellowship in Oxford where he gained surgical expertise across all spinal procedures. Dr Aneiba has an NHS practice at the University Hospital of North Tees and University Hospital of Coventry&Warwickshire. He is involved in developing and expanding the spinal unit there. He also has an interest in medical education and teaches medical students and junior doctors.
