Mrs Katherine Taylor

Katherine Taylor is an Advanced Nurse with an MSc in Public Health and over 24 years of experience in healthcare. She is also a Licensed First Aid Instructor, DCAS (Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services) has assessed and approved Katherine as a licensed First Aid Instructor, allowing her to teach First Aid both in Dubai and internationally. Her areas of expertise include Leadership and Management in Healthcare, Teaching in Healthcare, and Community Nursing. Before relocating to Dubai, Katherine spent 8 years as a Community Matron in the UK, managing virtual wards and pursuing studies as a Nurse Practitioner. At Optimal, she serves primarily as a First Aid Instructor and provides clinical support such as wound care advice for patients recovering from surgery.

She has worked as a medic carrying out first aid in various settings, including hospitals, communities, international locations, COP 28, and sporting events. As an advanced first aider, Katherine is able to teach a variety of courses including Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, First Aid for all ages, Basic Life Support and more. She is a highly regarded instructor, known for tailoring her courses to meet the needs of diverse learners.
