Dr. Jorg Meyer is a Consultant Urologist and Paediatric Urologist with extensive experience in his field. He completed his medical education at the University of Jena in Germany and obtained his German Board of Urology certification in 2001.

During his training, Dr. Meyer gained comprehensive skills and knowledge in various aspects of urological surgery, both open and endoscopic, as well as paediatric urology. He held a significant role as the leading assistant medical director at St. Salvator Hospital Halberstadt, which is associated with the University of Magdeburg in Germany.

In 2007, Dr. Meyer relocated to Abu Dhabi, where he has since been dedicated to providing urological care. He served as the Head of the Department of Urology at Gulf Diagnostic Hospital and also held the position of Medical Director at the Harley Street Medical Centre. In December 2019, he became part of the Health Shield Medical Center team.

Dr. Meyer expertise includes the examination and diagnosis of all genitourinary tract disorders for males, females, and children of all ages. This includes conditions such as cancer, stones, infertility, incontinence, and bed-wetting. He performs various diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound, uroflow, X-ray, prostate biopsy, cystoscopy, and urethrography. For paediatric patients older than 1 year, Dr. Meyer offers surgeries like circumcision, hernia repair, and undescended testicle treatment. Additionally, he provides a wide range of surgical procedures for adults, including stone treatment, vasectomy, cancer treatment, varicocele repair, hydrocele repair, and hernia repair.

He has over 25 years of experience in the field of Urology and Male Andrology and is an approved aeromedical examiner (Specialist AME) for urological problems by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
