About Dr Jonathan Wasserberg
Dr. Jonathan Wasserberg is a highly experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon. He works full time at Exeter Medical Center located in Abu Dhabi. He sees patients suffering with neck and back pain, particularly those due to disorders of the intervertebral discs. He regularly performs surgeries for cervical and lumbar disc disorders at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
He graduated in Medicine from the University of Cambridge, UK, with both a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in 1986 after gaining a B.Sc in Anatomy at the University of Leicester, UK. He went on to complete his surgical training and received the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT, Neurosurgery) in 1997. He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England since October 1990 and passed the Final Examination in Neurosurgery FRCS(SN) in 1997. Dr Wasserberg holds a medical license with the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi and is registered with the General Medical Council, UK.
Dr. Wasserberg holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from the Swiss Business School in Geneva, Switzerland since 2020. Additionally, he holds a Comprehensive Diploma in Neurotrauma (GlobalNeuro) acquired in 2022.
With a wealth of expertise in his field, Dr. Wasserberg specialises in several areas, including spinal surgery including cervical and lumbar intervertebral disc disorders, spinal stenosis, metastatic vertebral tumours, and spinal cord tumours.
He is an active member of various professional organisations, including the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, AO Spine, European Spine Society, Society of British Neurological Surgeons, International Spinal Cord Society, North American Spine Society, Congress of Neurological surgeons, USA and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
