Dr. Iyad Issa

Dr Iyad Issa is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Harley Street Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi. He has a special interest in functional disorders, GI bleeding, obesity, and inflammatory bowel disease.

He gained his MD from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 1995 and went on to attain a diploma in internal medicine before studying gastroenterology at the AUB Medical Centre. Additionally, he holds a certification from the Business of Healthcare Academy (Duke University, USA).

He is actively involved in research and has authored or co-authored over 20 papers in high-impact journals. He has also delivered over 50 presentations both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, he is a reviewer and member of the editorial board of a number of peer-reviewed journals, including the World Journal of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Issa is trained in GCP and holds CITI certification. He has also been the chairman of the institutional review board at Rafik Hariri University Hospital, a position he has held for the past nine years. Additionally, he has been the chairman and chief medical officer at Rafik Hariri University Hospital. His extensive experience means that Dr. Issa is able to provide the highest quality of care for his patients.

He is multilingual and speaks Arabic, English, and French.
