Dr. Ibrahim Haidar

Dr Haidar is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon at Emirates Hospital. His clinical interests include hip, knee, and ankle pathology as well as sports injuries in young and adult athletes.

He has expertise in the following areas:

• Arthroscopic procedures - shoulder, knee, hip, ankle, and foot
• Complex Ligament Repair & Reconstruction (Knee ACL Reconstruction, Meniscus Repair, Shoulder Rotator Cuff Repair, Bankart & SLAP Repair, Hip Labrum Repair & Osteoplasty, Ankle, Ligament Reconstruction & Endoscopic Plantar Fasciotomy)
• Joint Replacement surgeries - Knee, Hip & Shoulder
• Muscular and tendon injuries, including ruptured Achilles Tendon

Dr Haidar has an impressive medical background, having first graduated from the Lebanese University Medical School before undertaking his residency in orthopedics and traumatology. He then undertook his pediatric rotation in Paris and went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine and lower limb surgery at Centre Santy-FIFA Medical Center in Lyon, France. Following this, he joined the Clinique Du Sport in Paris, as an orthopedic and trauma specialist.

Furthering his medical expertise, Dr Haidar received his Diploma in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery from Paris XII University and another Diploma in Sports Related Injury from Grenoble University. He also has a Diploma in Arthroscopic Surgery from Versailles University, SFA (Société Francophone d'Arthroscopie), and is a graduate of the FIFA Medical Diploma.

An accomplished doctor, Dr Haidar has over 15 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals in the field of sports injuries. He is also a Fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT).
