Dr Halprashanth Doopadahalli Sathyanarayana is a Consultant Neurologist and Director of Burjeel MS Center , Abu Dhabi, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of a broad spectrum of adult neurological disorders. He completed his medical degree in 2005 and is a certified Multiple Sclerosis Specialist through the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centres, USA.

Dr Halprashanth began his career in India, serving as the sole Consultant Neurologist at Shiver Shivappa Memorial Hospital in Hassan, where he provided comprehensive neurological care within a multispecialty hospital. He later joined Gleneagles Hospital, Chennai, where he practised for six years. During this time, he established the region's first stroke and Parkinson's support group and pioneered an innovative stroke programme that enhanced the quality of stroke care.

He subsequently relocated to the UAE and joined Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, where he manages patients with both acute and chronic neurological conditions using advanced diagnostic techniques. Working closely with neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists and multidisciplinary teams, he delivers coordinated, patient-centred care for complex neurological cases.

His clinical expertise includes neurological inpatient and outpatient care, neurological intensive care, neuroimaging interpretation, EEG and a range of diagnostic and therapeutic neurological procedures. He actively participates in multidisciplinary team conferences to optimise outcomes for patients with complex conditions.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Halprashanth has led epilepsy, stroke and neurological disorder awareness initiatives within schools and the wider community, helping patients and their families better understand prevention and long-term neurological health. He is committed to clinical research, ensuring his practice remains aligned with the latest advances in neurology. Passionate about medical education, he also mentors junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals, promoting clinical excellence and high standards of patient care.
