Dr. Goran Bicanic

Dr. Goran Bicanic is an orthopedic surgeon with over 16 years of experience. He completed his medical and doctoral studies (MD and PhD) at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, followed by multiple fellowships in Germany, Canada, and Austria, focusing on knee replacement, trauma, emergency surgery, and bone and joint surgery.

Dr. Bicanic has held clinical positions at leading hospitals in the UAE and is currently part of the Emirates Hospitals Group. His expertise encompasses general orthopedics, lower limb arthroplasty, knee and hip replacement, sports injuries, arthroscopic and open surgeries, trauma care, fractures in adults and children, pediatric orthopedics, flat feet treatment, and both surgical and non-surgical management of orthopedic conditions.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bicanic is actively involved in research, regularly publishing findings, and mentors medical students and junior colleagues. He is a fellow and representative of several European and international orthopedic societies, including the European Knee Association, European Hip Society, ESSKA, and EFORT. Dr. Bicanic is also a passionate educator and is a senior lecturer in orthopaedic surgery at the University Zagreb School of Medicine.
