Dr Frea Perdawood is an experienced oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon at the American Hospital in Dubai. With 25 years of experience, she is skilled in all areas of breast cancer surgery, cosmetic surgery, and implant-based reconstruction surgery. Services offered include breast screening and assessment, breast reduction, breast uplift, mastectomy, reconstruction, breast conservation surgery, microdochectomy, draining of breast abscess, and gynecomastia surgery.
Dr Perdawood gained her MBChB from the University of Salahadin in Iraq in 1997 before going on to attain an MD in Denmark in 2003. Part of her training involved an oncoplastic breast fellowship at the plastic at the breast surgical department of Odense University Hospital. She also trained at the Plastic and Breast Surgical Clinic at the Royal Danish Hospital which is the largest and most specialised hospital in Denmark. Dr Perdawood was appointed as a senior consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon in 2014 and has performed over 2000 breast and axillary operations. She continues to enhance her knowledge and has attended a number of specialist training events in breast cosmetic and oncoplastic, breast reconstruction surgery, and correction of post lumpectomy defects at Clinica Universidad de Navarra in Spain.
Dr Perdawood is a member of the Danish Breast Surgical Society, the European Society of Surgical Oncology, and the Association of Breast Surgeons (UK).

Dr Frea is amazing, she takes all the time necessary to support and listen to me. She makes this whole breast cancer experience more tolerable to get through it. She listens attentively and addresses each and every concern, even when I am asking in the middle of the evening. She is very honest in setting expectations and advice, and supported a seamless recovery after my surgery, and helped manage my pain. She always puts the patient first, and I am lucky to have her as my surgeon.

The doctor is very kind and keen on the patient and is confident in her work, so it is easy for the patient to trust him for a minute in her speech and deliver the detailed explanation to the patient in a comfortable way without fear. In order for the patient to rest more patiently to the patient, she is always optimistic about the patient’s response to his illness, always seeks his comfort, always communicates and responds to my inquiries whenever I need her. She stands by the patient for long hours after the operation, confused and happy if the patient accepts his illness. Minutes in her work and makes the patient happy with the results of her wonderful and accurate operation. With her details and very sincere in her work, this is very little in her right to it. She was with my mother as her mother and not a patient. She is very proud of being an Arab doctor in this field.
