Dr. Filza Khalid

Dr. Filza Khalid is a dedicated General Surgeon practising at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, where she specialises in providing comprehensive care to surgical patients. With extensive experience gained at several prestigious institutions, Dr. Khalid's career has been marked by her proficiency in handling emergency cases, including trauma, both in in-patient and out-patient settings, as well as in the ICU. She operates independently and also assists senior consultants in surgical procedures, contributing significantly to patient care and surgical outcomes.

Dr. Khalid's professional journey began as a Surgical Resident at Dubai Health Authority, where she served as the first on-call in the General Surgery Department of Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre. During this time, she managed a wide range of polytraumas and life-threatening emergencies, gaining expertise in the use of point-of-care ultrasound for rapid diagnostics. Her role also involved comprehensive pre and post-operative care in ICU and general wards, performing major and minor surgeries under minimal supervision. She independently managed outpatient clinics and rotated through various disciplines, enhancing her skills in emergency medicine, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and more.

Dr. Khalid is licensed with the Dubai Health Authority, General Medical Council in the UK, and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. She has furthered her training with courses in Basic Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and specialised surgical skills accredited by the Royal College of England.
