Dr. Fernando Cabrera

Dr. Fernando Cabrera is a motivated plastic surgeon with over 10 years of progressive experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He is highly skilled in treatment planning, as well as providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care. Dr. Cabrera earned his Bachelor of Medicine (MD) from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia (1999–2005) and completed his residency in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Bogotá, Colombia (2010–2014) at the Central Military Hospital in Bogotá. He further advanced his expertise by obtaining a Master’s in Aesthetic Medicine and Antiaging from Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain, in 2020.

Throughout his career, Dr. Cabrera has consistently demonstrated a high level of surgical proficiency. At Hospital Local Buga in Colombia (2014–2017), he performed reconstructive procedures—including breast reconstruction, post-bariatric reconstruction, and reconstructive hand surgeries—while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised treatment plans. He then expanded his practice internationally, serving as a Plastic Surgeon at Complejo Asistencial Hospital Sótero del Río in Santiago de Chile (2018–2020), where he specialised in reconstructive procedures for breast reconstruction, post-bariatric reconstruction, and burn patients.

Subsequently, he practiced in private settings in Pereira, Colombia (2020–2023), evaluating patients for both surgical and non-surgical procedures, and delivering specialised reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries with high success rates. Most recently, Dr. Cabrera has been working as a Plastic Surgeon at WM Clinics in Tenerife, Spain, and is currently a consultant at Cosmomed Hospital in Fujairah, UAE.
