Dr. Fady George Hachem

Dr Fady George Hachem is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over three decades of clinical practice, specialising in high-risk pregnancy, infertility and advanced gynaecological care.

He began his medical studies at Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 1980 and obtained his Doctor of Medicine diploma in 1987. He then pursued specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completing extensive internships across leading hospitals including Hôtel-Dieu de France Hospital, Sacré-Coeur Hospital, the Central Military Hospital in Lebanon, and Saint Philibert de Lomme Hospital in France. In September 1991, he obtained his Specialisation Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics from Saint Joseph University.

Dr Hachem further advanced his expertise through multiple postgraduate qualifications in France. These include a University Diploma in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Ultrasound, a University Diploma in the Study of Infertility and Reproductive Disorders, and a University Diploma in Surgical Coelioscopy from Clermont-Ferrand University. He also undertook training in Fetal Medicine at Paris V University (Necker Faculty of Medicine) and worked as a Foreign Intern in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris.

Since 1993, Dr Hachem has been practicing as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in his private clinic, equipped with advanced 3D and 4D ultrasound technology. His areas of special interest include high-risk pregnancies, fertility treatment, and assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF and ICSI. He is actively involved with the Center of Reproductive and Genetics at Abou Jaoude Hospital, where he manages complex infertility cases. His surgical expertise includes treatment of breast tumours, genital prolapse, and female stress urinary incontinence using TVT and TOT procedures.

Throughout his career, Dr Hachem has held senior roles at several major institutions. He served as Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Mount Lebanon Hospital from 1999 to 2003 and continues to practice at Middle East Institute of Health – Bsalim and Abou Jaoude Hospital. He also worked as a Consultant in Abu Dhabi at the Franco-Emirian Hospital and Clinic and currently practices at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. In 2010, he was authorised as an Aero Medical Examiner in accordance with General Civil Aviation regulations.

Dr Hachem has participated extensively in international academic activity, attending annual meetings of ESHRE (1997–2009), the Middle East Fertility Society (1998–2010), the Lebanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and multiple regional and international fertility and perinatal congresses. He has also published numerous scientific articles, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing women’s health and reproductive medicine.
