Dr. Eman Aluthmani

Eman Al-Uthmani is a highly experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with over 30 years of clinical practice across the UK and the UAE. She is recognised for her comprehensive expertise in both complex obstetric care and the long-term management of gynaecological conditions, delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care.

Dr Al-Uthmani graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, in 1988. She later moved to the UK, where she undertook specialist postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the Health Education England Thames Valley Deanery from 2002 to 2008. On completion of her training, she was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).

She has completed several accredited Advanced Training Skills Modules, including advanced hysteroscopy in 2007 and maternal medicine in 2008. In addition, she has undertaken a range of recognised special skills modules, including urodynamics, advanced hysteroscopic surgery, ultrasound imaging in the management of gynaecological conditions, and maternal medicine. In 2008, she was awarded the Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound by the Standing Joint Committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Radiologists. She has been a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 1999.

Since relocating to the UAE in 2012, Dr Al-Uthmani has held consultant posts at several leading hospitals, including Al Rahba Hospital, Corniche Hospital, Burjeel Hospital and NMC Royal Hospital, before joining Danat Al Emarat. Her clinical practice encompasses high-risk obstetrics, including the management of abnormal placentation and pregnancies complicated by diabetes. She also has extensive experience in treating women with urinary incontinence, painful bladder syndrome, recurrent urinary tract infections, pelvic organ prolapse, heavy and painful periods, polycystic ovary syndrome, and menopause.
