Dr. Ed Ashtar

Dr. Ed Ashtar is an American Board-certified Consultant in Medical Oncology, Clinical Hematology, and Internal Medicine with nearly Three decades of medical experience and more than 20 years of specialist practice. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based cancer care, delivering personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

After graduating with honors from Aleppo University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Ashtar completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where he received the Outstanding Resident Performance Award. He later undertook advanced fellowships in Clinical Research, Hematology, and Medical Oncology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, USA, serving as Chief Fellow and contributing to pioneering cancer immunotherapy and vaccine research.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ashtar has received numerous professional distinctions, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Foundation Merit Award and the Best Physician of the Year Award. He has authored and co-authored multiple scientific publications and presentations at international oncology conferences, reflecting his commitment to advancing cancer treatment through research and innovation.

Since relocating to the UAE in 2017, Dr. Ashtar has practised as a Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology and Clinical Hematology at leading hospitals in Dubai, providing comprehensive care for patients with solid tumours, blood disorders, and complex cancer diagnoses. He combines extensive international experience with a patient-centred approach, ensuring every individual receives expert guidance, clear communication, and the highest standard of care throughout their treatment journey.
