Dr. Deepa Sankar is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist licensed by both DHA and HAAD, offering therapy and consulting services for over 20 years. She specializes in treating individuals of all ages, employing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed techniques.

With an MPhil and PhD in clinical psychology from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS), Dr. Sankar has received specialized training in various therapeutic modalities. Trained in DBT by Behavior Tech, founded by Dr. Marsha Linehan, she holds intensive level 4 training in DBT, including DBT for children, parents, trauma treatment, and eating disorders. Additionally, she has received training in eating disorders from Oxford University and anxiety disorders from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sankar also specializes in couple therapy through her training in HEART Couple and Relationship Therapy from Canada.

At LifeWorks, Dr. Sankar provides specialized services including DBT for adolescents, teenagers, and adults, group skill training programs, and parent training programs using DBT-C. She addresses extreme emotions, suicidal behaviors, non-suicidal self-injury, and problem behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
