Dr. Batool Aboud

Dr Batool Aboud is an oncology specialist at Saudi Germany Hospital. She also consults at the Advanced Care Oncology Center in Dubai and has over ten years of experience in the field. Dr Aboud treats all cancer patients and uses various treatments such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. Her areas of particular interest are gastrointestinal cancer (including oesophagus, gastric, colon, rectal, liver and pancreas) and solid tumour (especially gastrointestinal tract tumour).

Dr Aboud achieved an MD from Damascus University in Syria before completing a master's degree in medical oncology from the Minister of Higher Education. She has trained at various hospitals including Al Moasat University and Al Asad University Hospital. During her higher training, she was able to gain experience in the treatment of solid and haematology malignancy.

Dr Aboud has an interest in research and has previously carried out a statistical study looking at HER-2 positive breast cancer cases in Syria over a period of two years. In 2011, Dr Aboud started her private clinic at Al Abasseen Hospital in Damascus before moving to the UAE in 2013.
