Dr. Aws Jassim

Dr Aws Khidir Jassim is a highly experienced Consultant in Bariatric, Advanced Laparoscopic, and General Surgery with over 27 years of clinical practice. He completed his MBChB at the University of Baghdad in 1997 and later obtained Arab Board certification in General Surgery in 2005.

Dr Jassim is widely recognised for his expertise in weight loss and metabolic surgery, particularly laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and mini gastric bypass procedures. He also performs revision bariatric surgery for patients requiring corrective or secondary interventions following previous weight loss procedures.

His broader surgical practice includes advanced minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic hernia repair, cholecystectomy, splenectomy, adrenalectomy, and gastrointestinal surgery for conditions including GERD, gallbladder disease, and abdominal wall hernias. He focuses on laparoscopic and minimally invasive approaches to reduce recovery time and improve surgical outcomes.
