Antonio Esteves

Antonio Esteves is a highly qualified and experienced physiotherapist with a focus on sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy from Lisbon School of Health Technology and pursued further education to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in “Sports and Exercise Medicine Rehabilitation” from the University of Porto and a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy with specialisation in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy from Porto Health School.

Antonio has worked in various settings, including amateur sports, professional football, and private clinics, both in Portugal and the UK. His expertise lies in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, with a particular interest in sports and exercise. He assesses and evaluates sports/musculoskeletal injuries, designs and implements rehabilitation plans using various treatment techniques, and helps patients return to sports/competition through strength and conditioning training.

Antonio believes in an active approach to patient recovery and emphasises patient education in his treatment plans. He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (USA) and holds a certification in Football Medicine Rehabilitation by the Portuguese Football Association/University of Porto.
