Dr. Anney Varghese

Dr Anney Varghese is a Consultant Psychiatrist practising at First Psychiatry Clinic Dubai, with extensive experience across national healthcare organisations. She qualified with an MBBS from the University of Kerala in 2000 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK.

Dr Varghese specialises in General Adult Psychiatry, with advanced expertise in liaison psychiatry and neurodevelopmental conditions. She provides comprehensive ADHD and autism assessments and supports individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and trauma-related difficulties. A key area of interest is women’s mental health across the lifespan, including perinatal mental health, perimenopause, and menopause, and the complex interaction between hormonal, psychological and neurodevelopmental factors.

Her clinical approach is centred on promoting sustained mental wellbeing and high functioning in personal and professional life. She places strong emphasis on careful listening and creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where patients feel understood and respected.
