Dr. Amani Ibrahim

Dr. Amani Ibrahim is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in psychiatry, currently practicing at Beautiful Mind Medical Center in Abu Dhabi.

She obtained her MBBS from Khartoum University Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and specialisation from the Arab Board of Psychiatry in 2001. More recently, she has completed an MSc in Clinical Psychiatry from the University of South Wales, UK, in 2024.

Between 2004 and 2011, Dr. Ibrahim was Head of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, where she developed and implemented policies and procedures for the unit. Her work in this role included the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health problems in patients up to 18 years of age, as well as providing services that involved direct engagement with families.

Since 2010, she has been a permanent member of the Behavioral Sciences Pavilion (BSP) Psychiatric Medical Board Committee, contributing to emergency psychiatric work, report preparation, and tribunal attendance. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she has lectured in psychiatry as part of her duties at the BSP.

Dr. Ibrahim’s professional experience includes work in inpatient, outpatient, and day-care settings with adult patients, addressing a wide range of psychiatric conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety disorders, alongside her extensive involvement in child and adolescent psychiatry services.
