Dr Alan Issa

Dr Alan Issa is a Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist with extensive experience in the care of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. He is currently practising at Medcare Medical Centre, Discovery Gardens, where he has been based since 2024.

Dr Issa obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Aleppo in 2006. He later completed the Fellowship of the Arab Board of Paediatrics in 2011 and became a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2021. 

In the early stages of his career, Dr Issa worked as a Paediatrician and subsequently as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) physician at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Dammam under the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. He later practised at Ram Medical Clinics before joining Dr Sulaiman AlHabib Hospital. 

Dr Issa manages a broad range of conditions, including neonatal intensive care cases, paediatric emergencies, developmental disorders, and acute and chronic childhood illnesses. His clinical scope includes newborn diseases, infectious diseases, respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions, allergic disorders, urinary tract infections, dermatological conditions, and chronic paediatric diseases.

Outside clinical practice, Dr Issa enjoys reading and participating in sporting activities.
