Dr. Ahmed Hamza

Dr Ahmed Hamza is a highly experienced specialist general surgeon at Mubadala Health Dubai, He has over twenty years of expertise and has performed more than 1500 laparoscopic operations during his career. His extensive experience covers breast tumour surgery, laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy, abdominoplasty and abdominal wall reconstruction surgeries, emergency and elective gastrointestinal surgeries, and colorectal and anal surgeries amongst others.

Dr Hamza graduated from Cairo University medical school before going on to achieve a master's degree in general surgical sciences in 2001. Following this, he spent time working at Dar Al Fouad Hospital, one of Egypt's major private surgery clinics before relocating to Kuwait and working at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital. During this time, Dr Hamza also trained junior surgeons in the Kuwaiti Board of Surgery program. Dr Hamza later earned an MD in general surgery from Ain Shams University followed by a diploma in advanced laparoscopic surgery from the World Laparoscopy Hospital in India.

Dr Hamza belongs to the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS) as well as the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is also active in research and has contributed to several international publications and attended numerous conferences and seminars.
