Dr. Aboobaker Sayed

Dr Aboobaker Sayed is an experienced podiatrist with an international clinical background spanningover 20 years of hospital, academic, and private practice settings across South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. He currently practices at SEHA Ambulatory Health Services, where he provides specialist care for a wide range of foot and lower-limb conditions.

Dr Sayed graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Podiatry from the University of Johannesburg in 2002. He has experience serving as Fit Feet Clinical Director for Special Olympics UAE and prior to his current role worked at Dubai Physiotherapy & Family Medicine Clinic.

His clinical interests include sports podiatry, diabetic and high-risk foot care, gait analysis, advanced orthotic management, and the treatment of chronic and complex foot conditions including surgey for ingrown toe nails . He is particularly focused on improving mobility, function, and long-term patient outcomes through evidence-based and multidisciplinary care.

Throughout his career, Dr Sayed has worked closely alongside orthopaedic, endocrinology, physiotherapy, and primary care teams to ensure patients receive comprehensive and coordinated treatment. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to research within podiatry and presented at conferences including the SINMAC Conference in Abu Dhabi and the FIFA International Football Medicine Conference and prompted critical care initiatives with the COVID-19 pandemic.
