Dr Yong Yu

Dr Yong Yu is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families. He chose a career in general practice because he finds it deeply rewarding to support his patients and serve the wider community. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Yu focuses on delivering high-quality, accessible medical care that addresses the diverse needs of his patients at every stage of life.

Before transitioning to general practice, Dr Yu gained extensive clinical experience working across several rural hospitals. This diverse background allowed him to develop skills in various medical fields, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Surgery, Geriatric Medicine, and Anaesthetic Medicine. Today, he maintains a broad clinical focus, with particular interests in chronic disease management, minor surgical procedures, and skin cancer medicine. He is also skilled in performing mole checks and iron infusions, ensuring his patients receive thorough and specialised care.

Dr Yu began his medical journey by earning a Bachelor of Medicine. After relocating to Australia, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Monash University and obtained his certificate from the Australian Medical Council. Demonstrating his commitment to the highest standards of general practice, he is also an accredited Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Yu is bilingual, allowing him to communicate effectively and provide culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
