Dr Yanna Ko

Dr. Yanna Ko is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based in Sydney, Australia. She graduated with first-class Honours from the University of New South Wales and completed her advanced training in Gastroenterology at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, and Camden Hospital in New South Wales. Dr. Ko has received multiple research awards, including the prestigious NHMRC scholarship, for her significant contributions to the field of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Ko is dedicated to delivering excellent and personalised care to her patients. Her expertise covers a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including conditions such as reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, bowel cancer surveillance, and iron deficiency anaemia. She has a special interest in functional gut disorders, particularly irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and chronic constipation. Her extensive research in various gastrointestinal disorders, including IBS and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), has resulted in multiple publications in peer-reviewed Gastroenterology journals.

Dr. Ko has received accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy from the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She performs procedures such as polypectomy, bowel cancer surveillance, and hemorrhoid therapy at several hospitals, including Macquarie University Hospital, Central Sydney Private Hospital, Campbelltown Private Hospital, and Canterbury Hospital, where she also sees public patients.
