Dr Winnie Huiyan Sim

Dr Winnie Huiyan Sim is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on preventative medicine, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life, helping them achieve optimal health and well-being. Dr Sim is particularly passionate about rural general practice, bringing a reassuring and thorough approach to addressing complex clinical concerns.

Before embarking on her medical career, Dr Sim completed a PhD in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease and conducted postdoctoral research on the gut microbiota. She subsequently obtained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne, qualifying in 2016. Her extensive clinical training was completed through a major clinical school and across several prominent metropolitan and regional hospitals in Victoria. Dr Sim is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Sim has developed advanced expertise in women's health and child health, holding a Certificate of Women's Health and completing the Sydney Child Health Programme. She provides a wide range of services, including pre-pregnancy counselling, antenatal and postnatal care, newborn checks, and contraceptive procedures such as the insertion and removal of Implanon and Mirena devices. Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine, allowing her to offer comprehensive skin assessments and preventative care.
