Dr Barton completed her medical degree at Monash University, graduating in 1981. Demonstrating a strong commitment to her professional development, she went on to complete her Fellowship of General Practice in 1993. Her dedication to the medical community was further recognised in 2023 when she was awarded Life Membership of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which enhances her ability to support patients with specialised healthcare needs.
