Dr. Wai See Ma

Dr. Wai See Ma is a dedicated Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist known for her thorough, compassionate, and holistic approach to patient care. Fluent in Cantonese and Chinese, she prioritises clear communication, ensuring that she takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns and deliver personalised care. Dr. Ma has extensive experience in all areas of gastroenterology, with specific interests in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, bowel cancer screening, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, functional gut disorders, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr. Ma completed her medical studies at the University of Leeds in the UK and further specialised in gastroenterology through training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She completed her fellowship at Westmead Hospital and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in advanced hepatology at the esteemed Storr Liver Unit under Professor Jacob George.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Ma conducts regular scope lists at Lakeview Private Hospital, as well as Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals. She holds a Staff Specialist position at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals and serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney. Her qualifications include being a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) and membership in the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).
