Dr Vincent Roche

Dr Vincent Roche is a highly experienced General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. With a long-standing career in rural and regional medicine, he has established himself as a reassuring and trusted healthcare provider. Dr Roche believes in the value of longitudinal care, finding great professional satisfaction in supporting patients across multiple generations, from early childhood through to aged care and palliative support.

Throughout his career, Dr Roche has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about family medicine, preventative health, and skin cancer medicine, offering thorough skin checks alongside skin cancer surgery and treatment. His broad expertise also encompasses travel vaccinations, workers' compensation, drug and alcohol addiction management, pregnancy care, and comprehensive health checks for both men and women. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Roche has held several prominent leadership roles, including serving as the Chairman of the local Division of General Practice and the local GP After Hours Service, as well as sitting on the regional Local Health District Board.

Dr Roche completed his primary medical training, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Committed to continuous professional development, he went on to obtain a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), and a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). In recognition of his dedication to medical education, he was appointed as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Wollongong, where he actively mentors and supervises Medical Students and General Practice Registrars. He was also honoured with the prestigious Rural Medical Service Award in 2021 for his outstanding service to the community.
