Dr Vicki Mattiazzo

Dr Vicki Mattiazzo is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a deep commitment to rural and remote medicine, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life. Her practice is built on a foundation of empathy and clear communication, ensuring that patients feel heard and supported during their healthcare journeys. Dr Mattiazzo has a particular interest in preventative medicine, advocating strongly for regular health checks and cancer screenings to promote long-term wellbeing.

Throughout her career, Dr Mattiazzo has developed diverse clinical expertise, with special interests in women's health, children's health, and emergency medicine. Her broad scope of practice also encompasses injury management and family medicine. Having previously worked as a Speech Pathologist, she brings a unique perspective to patient communication and holistic care. Her extensive background includes serving as a Visiting Medical Officer and providing medical services in challenging environments, including rural communities and with the defence force, which has equipped her with robust skills in managing complex clinical scenarios.

Dr Mattiazzo graduated from Flinders University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, having completed her training through the Northern Territory medical school. She holds additional qualifications in child health, women's health, and emergency medicine. Dr Mattiazzo is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and actively contributes to the medical community, serving as the Deputy Chair and New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory Representative for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Rural Council.
