Dr Vanessa Perotti

Dr Vanessa Perotti is a Neurosurgeon specialising in the diagnosis and surgical management of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions. She consults at Orthoclinic and manages a range of neurological and spinal disorders.

Her clinical work includes the assessment and treatment of spinal conditions such as neck pain, back pain, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease. She also treats peripheral nerve disorders as well as brain and spinal tumours. Her areas of interest include neurovascular conditions such as aneurysms and the management of traumatic brain and spine injuries, including concussion.

Dr Perotti completed neurosurgical training across several major hospitals in Australia, including St Vincent’s Hospital, St George Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital. She undertook additional international training at Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand and further training in endoscopic brain surgery in Berlin. Following her fellowship, she completed additional clinical training in neurotrauma and rural and remote surgery in the Northern Territory and a spinal fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide.

She holds hospital accreditation at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital, and Westmead Private Hospital.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Perotti is involved in teaching and research and has an interest in quality and safety in healthcare.
