Dr Tristan Hicks

Dr Tristan Hicks is a highly qualified General Practitioner and Skin Cancer Physician who is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to his patients. While initially practising across the full spectrum of general practice, he has developed a profound clinical interest in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of skin cancers. He is committed to delivering expert, timely, and accessible care, ensuring that patients receive thorough skin assessments and tailored treatment plans.

With advanced training in skin cancer medicine and surgery, Dr Hicks offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. His expertise includes performing full skin checks, dermatoscopy, and mole monitoring, as well as executing both surgical and non-surgical treatments. He has also worked as a Surgical Assistant in operating theatres and has undertaken advanced surgical masterclasses to refine his skills in complex and cosmetically sensitive areas, such as the lips, nose, ears, and digits. Additionally, he has contributed to the medical community as a Clinical Tutor, teaching other medical professionals advanced techniques in skin cancer diagnosis, and has published professional research on dermatoscopy.

Dr Hicks completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2002, followed by his Bachelor of Medicine in 2007, both at the University of Newcastle. He completed his internship and residency training before undertaking specialist general practice training. In 2012, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Committed to continuous professional development, he has completed multiple postgraduate qualifications, including an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy, and a Certificate of Dermatology. He also holds a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland and achieved Fellowship with the Skin Cancer College Australasia in 2019, where he is an accredited member.
