Dr Tony Gianduzzo

Dr. Tony Gianduzzo is a senior Sunshine Coast urologist with over four decades of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1983 and attained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Gianduzzo has maintained a steadfast focus on the early diagnosis and therapeutic management of prostate cancer. Serving the Sunshine Coast community for over 30 years, he has established a reputation as a trusted regional leader in men's health diagnostics and urological care.

His contribution to urology extends beyond clinical practice into significant academic research. Dr. Gianduzzo was instrumental in a major study published in the British Journal of Urology, which established a world-class methodology for ensuring the accuracy of prostate cancer biopsies. In his clinical practice, he utilises advanced, state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques, including robotic-assisted and MRI-fusion guided transperineal prostate biopsies, to maximise targeted accuracy while prioritising patient safety and minimising infection risk.

As a key member of the Buderim Private Hospital medical community, he is dedicated to patient education and the implementation of individualised care pathways.
