Dr Todd Hardy

Dr Todd Hardy is a highly accomplished Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. He has a particular clinical interest and expertise in neuroimmunology, multiple sclerosis, and other immune-mediated disorders of the central nervous system. Dedicated to delivering reassuring, patient-centred care, Dr Hardy combines his deep clinical knowledge with a compassionate approach to help patients navigate complex neurological diagnoses, including rare conditions such as Susac's syndrome.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hardy is a prominent academic and researcher. He holds a position as a Clinical Professor in Medicine at a leading university and serves as a Co-Director of a specialised multiple sclerosis clinic. As a Principal Investigator and Chief Investigator on numerous clinical trials, he is actively involved in research aimed at advancing treatments for multiple sclerosis and neuroinflammatory disorders. He also contributes to the broader medical community as a Co-Chair of an international education committee, Chair of a national neuroimmunology group, and as an editor for several prestigious neurological journals.

Dr Hardy began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on the mechanisms of neurotransmitter release. He then completed his medical training, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Dr Hardy undertook his specialist training in Neurology at major teaching hospitals in Sydney, as well as at a world-renowned specialist neurological hospital in London, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and maintains active professional memberships with key neurological organisations, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
