Dr Timothy Chung

Dr Timothy Chung is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with additional international subspecialty training in shoulder and elbow surgery. He practises as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Monash Health and Cabrini, with expertise in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, joint replacement and trauma surgery.

After graduating with Honours from Monash University, Dr Chung completed his specialist orthopaedic training across both metropolitan and regional hospitals in Victoria, gaining broad experience in complex elective and trauma cases. He then undertook further international subspecialty training to refine his skills in advanced shoulder and elbow techniques. This included working in a major trauma centre in London, visiting specialist elbow units across the UK, and completing a dedicated shoulder fellowship in Rennes, France.

Dr Chung manages a wide range of shoulder and elbow conditions, including rotator cuff tears, instability, arthritis, sports injuries and fractures. He offers both operative and non-operative management, ensuring that treatment is tailored to each individual’s diagnosis, lifestyle and goals.

He is committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care and works closely with physiotherapists, general practitioners and allied health professionals to provide coordinated, holistic management and optimise recovery outcomes.
