Originally from the Scenic Rim in South-East Queensland, Dr. Eviston completed high school at Marist College Ashgrove before embarking on his medical degree at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He graduated medical school with first-class honours, a high-distinction average and was awarded the prestigious Ian Webster Medal.

Following internship and residency at Prince of Wales hospital, Randwick, Tim was accepted onto General Surgery training at St. George and Liverpool hospitals with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. To further specialise in head and neck surgical oncology and reconstruction, Dr. Eviston completed an additional three years of subspecialty training after his General Surgery training. In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Eviston is passionate about optimising patient outcomes and recovery. He completed a PhD at UNSW under Professor Arun Krishnan, focusing on nerve injury.
