Dr Thanuja Ranatunga

Dr Thanuja Ranatunga is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. As an experienced Family Physician, she is committed to supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families across all stages of life. Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine, ensuring that every patient receives personalised and reassuring care tailored to their unique healthcare needs.

Dr Ranatunga completed her Bachelor of Biological Sciences at Monash University and La Trobe University in Victoria, before going on to earn her Medical Degree from Flinders University in South Australia in 1999. Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional excellence, she achieved fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006. Her extensive academic background and ongoing professional development enable her to deliver high-quality medical services.

Throughout her career, Dr Ranatunga has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She specialises in women's and children's health, aged care, and mental health. Additionally, she has a strong focus on Aboriginal health, sexual health, and antenatal care. Her practice also encompasses chronic disease management and various minor clinical procedures, including skin lesion biopsies, pre-employment health checks, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants.
