A/Prof Terence Chua

A/Prof Terence Chua is a General Surgeon and Colorectal Surgeon. His surgical experience includes hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal cancer surgery, alongside extensive experience in general and colorectal surgery.

A/Prof Chua studied medicine and surgery at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), graduating in 2009. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Medicine with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. He subsequently completed a PhD at UNSW based on research into colorectal cancer surgery, with his academic achievement recognised by inclusion on the Dean's List.

His general surgical training was undertaken at two major tertiary hospitals in Sydney and culminated in Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He also holds Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed). In addition to his clinical work, A/Prof Chua is involved in academic surgery and holds the position of Associate Professor of Surgery.
