Dr Tarun Yadav

Dr Tarun Yadav is a highly qualified and compassionate Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental healthcare to adults and adolescents. With a patient-centric approach, he focuses on delivering evidence-based treatments tailored to each individual's unique circumstances. Dr Yadav has extensive experience in managing a diverse range of mental health conditions, with a particular focus on general adult psychiatry, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. He is dedicated to helping his patients navigate complex mental health challenges, fostering resilience, and supporting them on their journey toward long-term wellness.

As a specialist in his field, Dr Yadav possesses advanced expertise in Addiction Psychiatry, including the management of substance use disorders and problem gambling. His clinical interests also extend to Neuropsychiatry, adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and complex trauma. To ensure the highest standard of care, Dr Yadav incorporates innovative and evidence-based therapeutic modalities into his practice. These include Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and novel pharmacological treatments such as Esketamine. He is also an experienced Independent Medical Examiner, conducting assessments for workers' compensation cases.

Dr Yadav completed his medical training with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Psychiatry from Lady Hardinge Medical College in India. Upon moving to Australia, he achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and obtained a Certificate in Addiction Psychiatry. He is an accredited member of the Faculty of Addiction Psychiatry and maintains active memberships with several professional organisations, including the Australian ADHD Professionals Association, the International Society of Addiction Medicine, and the Clinical TMS Society. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Yadav is a dedicated educator who serves as a Conjoint Lecturer, training and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
