Dr Surabhi Verma

Dr Surabhi Verma is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than a decade of clinical experience across Australia and India. She holds qualifications including MBBS, MD and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

Dr Verma’s clinical practice includes the assessment and management of mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders including generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorder, early intervention for adolescents with emerging psychiatric conditions including psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.

Her approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with patient-centred care, incorporating both pharmacological management and psychotherapeutic interventions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Verma has expertise in medico-legal psychiatry. She undertakes independent assessments for workers’ compensation claims, motor vehicle accident injuries, income protection and total and permanent disability (TPD) claims, public liability matters and other medico-legal evaluations.
