Dr Suja Padmanabhan

Dr Suja Padmanabhan is a highly regarded Consultant Endocrinologist based in Parramatta, Western Sydney. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, holistic, and evidence-based care to patients presenting with a diverse range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. With a warm and reassuring clinical approach, Dr Padmanabhan specialises in the management of complex hormonal conditions, ensuring that each patient receives a personalised treatment plan tailored to their unique health needs.

Her extensive clinical expertise spans all aspects of general endocrinology, with a particular focus on the management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including advanced insulin pump therapy. Dr Padmanabhan has a deep clinical interest in endocrine disorders during pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes and thyroid dysfunction, as well as pre-conception planning for women with pre-existing endocrine conditions. Additionally, she provides expert care for disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands, alongside managing osteoporosis, calcium metabolism issues, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopause, and weight management.

Dr Padmanabhan graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 2004, earning her Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. She subsequently completed a Master of Public Health and went on to achieve a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Sydney, focusing her doctoral research on diabetes and pregnancy. Her postgraduate training as a Physician and Endocrinologist was completed at major tertiary referral hospitals in Sydney, culminating in her admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Padmanabhan is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and remains actively involved in clinical research, publishing her findings in prominent national and international medical journals.
