Dr Stuart Saker

Dr Stuart Saker is a highly dedicated General Adult Psychiatrist who specialises in supporting individuals facing complex mental health challenges. With a profound interest in veterans' mental health and military medicine, he also serves as an Army Reserve Medical Officer, having previously deployed on wartime and humanitarian missions. Dr Saker is particularly passionate about assisting patients with treatment-resistant conditions, focusing on innovative approaches to help those who have not found relief through traditional pathways. His clinical focus encompasses a wide range of conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalised Anxiety Disorder, as well as chronic pain and tinnitus.

Dr Saker completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Arts in 1994. He subsequently pursued advanced studies, obtaining a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney in 2004 and a Master of Health Administration from the University of New South Wales in 2005. Dr Saker completed his specialist psychiatric training in the United Kingdom, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2001. He is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Medical Association, the Early Psychosis Association, and the Australian Military Medical Association.
