Dr Steven Lu

Dr Steven Lu is a dedicated Specialist General Practitioner who is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong clinical background spanning intensive care, general medicine, and geriatric medicine in both public and private hospital settings, he transitioned into community-based practice to focus on holistic and tailored healthcare. Dr Lu believes in empowering his patients through clear communication and proactive health management, ensuring that every individual feels welcome, well-informed, and supported throughout their medical journey.

With a diverse range of clinical interests, Dr Lu provides high-quality care across all stages of life. He has a particular passion for preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and applied genetics, focusing on early intervention to help patients maintain optimal long-term health. His expertise also encompasses adolescent health, geriatric medicine, and the management of complex medical conditions. Additionally, Dr Lu is a trained provider of focused psychological strategies, offering evidence-based support such as cognitive behaviour therapy and interpersonal therapy to assist patients managing mental health concerns and chronic pain.

Dr Lu completed his medical training at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2009. To further his expertise in paediatric care, he obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney in 2016. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, having achieved his fellowship in 2019. Demonstrating his commitment to the advancement of his profession, Dr Lu is actively involved in medical leadership and education, and he serves as a Council Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Victoria Council.
