Dr Stephen Allwright

Dr Stephen Allwright is a highly respected Consultant Nuclear Medicine Specialist and Nuclear Medicine Physician based in Dee Why, Sydney, who is dedicated to providing exceptional diagnostic care. With a patient-centred approach, he specialises in utilising advanced nuclear imaging techniques to investigate and manage a diverse range of medical conditions. Dr Allwright is particularly recognised for his expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, paediatric nuclear medicine, and nuclear cardiology, ensuring that patients of all ages receive precise and reassuring care.

Dr Allwright obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1978. He completed his specialist training in nuclear medicine at prominent teaching hospitals in Sydney, followed by a prestigious fellowship in paediatric nuclear medicine at a leading children's hospital in Los Angeles. He holds a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, as well as a Fellow of the Australian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Allwright is deeply committed to medical education and research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including a highly regarded textbook exploring the role of nuclear imaging in sports medicine. As a passionate educator, he regularly teaches third-year Medical Students and has lectured Nuclear Medicine Registrars and Technologists throughout his career.
