Dr Stella Ward

Dr Stella Ward is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life, from infancy to older age. Dr Ward believes in fostering strong, collaborative relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel heard and empowered in managing their health and well-being.

Dr Ward obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Glasgow, qualifying in 2006. She completed her initial hospital training in the West of Scotland before relocating to Australia, where she gained valuable experience working in emergency medicine on the Gold Coast. Committed to postgraduate education, she returned to Scotland to complete a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). Upon returning to Australia, she completed her General Practice training in Northern New South Wales, achieving her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Women's Health from the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, as well as a Professional Certificate of Geriatric Medicine.

While highly skilled in all aspects of family medicine, Dr Ward has a particular interest in women's health, aged care, and chronic disease management. She offers specialised consultations for menopause and perimenopause, and is highly experienced in family planning, contraception, and antenatal care. Her expertise extends to the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs) such as Mirena, Kyleena, and copper devices. Dr Ward also enjoys addressing the complex health needs of older patients, focusing on geriatric medicine, and provides dedicated care in paediatrics, adolescent health, travel medicine, and immunisations.
