Dr Stefaan Pacquée is an Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon accredited by the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) society and a Certified Urogynaecologist (CU), holding Australia’s highest awarded qualification in urogynaecology as recognised by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
After graduating with Honours from the University of Antwerp in Belgium, Dr Pacquée completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Belgium. He went on to undertake further subspecialty training in minimally invasive and hysteroscopic surgery at Bronovo Hospital, The Netherlands, as well as pelvic floor reconstructive surgery at University Hospital Leuven.
Following this, he completed subspecialty training in Urogynaecology in Australia at St George Hospital and Nepean Hospital in Sydney, where he developed advanced skills in vaginal surgery, pelvic floor ultrasound and urodynamics. He also undertook a two-year fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at the Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre (SWEC), achieving Level 6 Scope of Clinical Practice in advanced endoscopic procedures.
Dr Pacquée has a strong academic and research profile. He is a Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of New South Wales and regularly presents at local, national and international scientific meetings. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and was recently recognised for his work on transperineal pelvic ultrasound following obstetric anal sphincter injury. His main research interests focus on minimally invasive treatments for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as advanced pelvic floor imaging.
In clinical practice, Dr Pacquée is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care. He works closely with each patient to develop tailored treatment plans designed to address individual symptoms, goals and lifestyle, ensuring compassionate, comprehensive and high-quality care.
